Physical Therapy co-owner Dr. Louis Hochstrasser graduated from Thomas Jefferson University with high honors in 1995 with a
Masters of Science degree in Physical Therapy. He later returned to Thomas Jefferson where he furthered his education
to become a Doctor of Physical Therapy. In addition, Lou is currently pursuing his Manual Therapy Certification through the
Great Lakes CIMT program. Lou specializes in orthopedic care, has a special interest in sports medicine and routinely treats
positional vertigo. Lou has treated athletes at all skill levels from recreational through professional and in those
involved in most all sports. He has been an adjunct professor at Columbia University as well as at Long Island University
where he specialized as an educator on sports specific injury and the related rehabilitation. In addition, Lou has taught
and lectured at numerous coach and parent clinics as well as at sports medicine symposiums regarding numerous topics
related to injury prevention and management, as well as sport specific training for the high school athlete and
prevention and management of orthopedic injuries specific to the female athlete. Lou has become an APTA credentialed
clinical instructor to give back to the profession by serving as a clinical instructor through Riptide Physical Therapy to
interns at various levels of their physical therapy education from colleges and universities throughout New Jersey, Pennsylvania,
Delaware, New York and Connecticut. One day per week, Lou spends time seeing patients with local orthopedic surgeons
to exchange information and to stay current on the most recent operative and non-operative orthopedic procedures so that the
most optimal level of physical therapy care can be provided to the patients of Riptide Physical Therapy. Lou is certified through the National Strength and Conditioning
Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and has maintained that specialty certification since 1995. In
his free time, Lou works out regularly and is an avid cyclist. As a past wrestler at Southern Regional, Lou is also excited
to be involved again with the sport of wrestling and currently serves an assistant coach at a local high level youth
wrestling club where he coaches children from elemntary through high school from around the state. Lou grew up in Surf City
and graduated from Southern Regional High School in 1989. He has maintained strong ties to the local community and through
Riptide Physical Therapy has consistently provided support to many local organizations, sports teams and schools. Lou
is the proud father of two children, who keep him busy with all that they are involved in, including, wrestling, baseball,
soccer, skiing, swimming and track. In addition, he enjoys taking advantage of all of the special activities
that the area has to offer including boating, fishing, waterskiing, and enjoying time on the beach.

Dr. McHugh is one
of the owners at Riptide Physical Therapy. Dr. McHugh is a 1988 graduate of the College
of Allied Health Sciences at Temple University, located
in his hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. McHugh received his degree in physical
therapy from Temple University and then completed his Doctorate in Physical Therapy through the University of Scranton where
he graduated with high honors. At this time Dr. McHugh is pursuing his Manual Therapy Certification through Great
Lakes CIMT program. Dr. McHugh's primary focus over his successful 29 year career has centered primarily on sports medicine,
industrial medicine and outpatient orthopedic physical therapy. Dr. McHugh's career in physical therapy started in Harrisburg,
Pa. specializing in sports medicine at Physical Therapy, Inc. In 1989 Dr. McHugh moved to New Jersey and started
an industrial medicine program at Garden State Rehabiliation Hospital and became the Industrial Medicine Coordinator at that
facility. In this position Dr. McHugh supervised the rehabilitation of work related injuries as well as giving
seminars in the business community on workplace safety. In 1991 Dr. McHugh became the Director of Physical Therapy
at a new sports medicine clinic in Manahawkin, New Jersey and with its success the facility was purchased by Healthsouth,
a national healthcare corporation, in 1993. Dr. McHugh's continued success in out-patient orthopedics led to him becoming
an Area Manager with Healthsouth which gave him the responsibility for managing quality of care, staffing and business
related development for 17 physical therapy facilities in Monmouth, Ocean and Atlantic Counties in New Jersey. During his
time with Healthsouth Dr. McHugh was a President's Circle Award winner as well as a Clinical Excellence Award winner for
managing top sports medicine clinics throughout the country. Dr. McHugh presented in New Jersey and throughout the country on
clinical excellence and facility management because of the success of his facilities during his tenure with Healthsouth. In
2005, with his current business partner Dr. Louis Hochstrasser, Dr. McHugh left Healthsouth to open Riptide Physical
Therapy in Barnegat, New Jersey. Dr. McHugh continues to be involved with teaching and is now an APTA certified
Clinical Instructor for several physical therapy internship programs including Russell Sage College, University of Scranton,
Rutgers University, Misericordia University, Daeman College, Ithaca College, Temple University and Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. McHugh has been practicing
in the southern Ocean county area since 1991 allowing him to develop long standing relationships with many local orthopedic doctors and physicians in the area and
works closely with them to provide the best care possible for the patient. Dr. McHugh has a passion for sports and
sports medicine dating back to his high school days of running and playing lacrosse and soccer and playing
lacrosse at Temple University as well as rehabilitating his own knee after surgery from a sports injury in high school. Dr.
McHugh was involved in local sports as a soccer coach, roller hockey coach as well as being a former board member of
Alliance, FC and former President of Stafford Soccer Club. Dr. McHugh's experience in sports medicine and rehabilitation
has included working with many high school teams and programs as well as working with professional athletes from the
LPGA, PBA, NFL and NHL. Dr. McHugh enjoys spending time with his 5 wonderful children and spends much of his time
away from work on the sports fields watching them compete for area soccer, hockey, swimming and track teams.

Dr.
Janet L. McHugh, PT, DPT is a 1988 Magna Cum Laude graduate from Temple University's School of Physical Therapy. Janet hails from western Pennsylvania and is an avid Steelers fan. Janet has a well rounded background
in physical therapy from her initial work experience at Carlisle Hospital in Pennsyvania, comprehensive rehabilitation
experience at Garden State Rehabilitation Hospital in Toms River, N.J. and her extensive experience in out-patient
orthopedics and sports medicine which has been her specialty since 1991. Since graduation from Temple University Janet has
taken advanced courses in manual therapy as it applies to the out-patient orthopedic population. Janet completed her studies
for her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in December 2015 is working toward a
manual therapy certification (CIMT) from Great Lakes. Janet and our co-owner Gerry met in physical therapy school at Temple University. Janet and Gerry have 5 children
(Kelly, Ryan, Matthew, Collin and Kaitlyn) who are all involved in sports in the area, as well as Janet having been a girl's
soccer coach with Stafford Soccer Club. Janet's interest in Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine stems from playing volleyball
through college where she was All-Conference at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania where she attended school
for her undergraduate studies. In her time outside of physical therapy Janet is an author of poems, children's stories
and published articles on child development. Besides working
at Riptide Physical Therapy Janet has another connection with Barnegat, NJ. Janet's mother, Margaret, is a resident of Barnegat,
NJ and lives in the Four Seasons Mirage community.

Dr. Courtney Werner graduated
with her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree in 2014 from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. She graduated with Honors from
The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in 2002 with her Master’s of Science degree in Physical Therapy, and she graduated
Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor's of Biology degree in 1999 also from The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. Immediately
after graduation she began her physical therapy career at HealthSouth in Manahawkin, NJ where she worked with her mentors
and current owner's of Riptide Physical Therapy (Gerry McHugh and Louis Hochstrasser). Courtney has enjoyed working in the
outpatient orthopedic and sports physical therapy setting since graduating with her Master's degree in Physical Therapy in
2002, and has had the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population. She has attended ongoing continuing education seminars to broaden her knowledge
base and keep herself current in manual techniques and treatments. She has participated with internship programs, working
as a clinical instructor for upcoming physical therapists, from a number of colleges and universities including: Thomas
Jefferson University, UMDNJ, Misericordia University, Russell Sage College, Seton Hall, and Ithaca College. Courtney has had
an interest in sports medicine her entire life, sparked by her athletic career at Southern Regional High School where she
graduated in 1995. She was a multi-varsity athlete playing field hockey, basketball, and soccer earning various
awards and recognition throughout her career. She also worked summers as an ocean lifeguard, in Barnegat Light,
NJ while in college. Courtney and her husband have two young boys who keep them entertained and busy swimming on the
Ocean County YMCA swim team, and recreationally enjoy fishing, boating, surfing and kayaking.
